Polyether Type Synthetic Lubricant – Stationary 暖通空调R 润滑剂 for HFO 应用程序
Shrieve的ZEROL® PE-X HP range are a unique range of polyether synthetic lubricants, designed and developed specifically for use in the next generation of stationary 暖通空调R systems utilising HFOs and other environmentally friendly refrigerants.
Lubricant chemistries used today with HFC refrigerants such as R134a can have deficiencies when used with next generation HFO and HFO blended refrigerants. This can lead to multiple lubricants needed to be used for different refrigerants. Shrieve has developed alternate lubricant chemistry Zerol PE-X HP that allows for one lubricant option to be used over a range of refrigerants.
Heat Pumps using HFO as a refrigerant require a robust lubricant, this is due to the harsh operating environment of the refrigerant. Acids and fluorides are typical characteristics of HFO refrigerant breakdown. Therefore Zerol PE-X HP is the lubricant of choice for these types of systems.
What next generation 暖通空调R systems can this LUBRICANt be used with?
Zerol® PE-X HP can be typically used with HFO refrigerants and blends such as R1234yf, R1234ze (E)、R452A、R449A、R32和R450A. Some of these refrigerants are used in low to medium temperature refrigeration applications as retrofits, which means it is replacing banned or High Ozone Depleting refrigerants such as R22.
A single alternate lubricant that can be used across a range of refrigerants
A compressor OEM may have a variety of compressor platforms for use with a variety of HFO refrigerants, the compressor build is often the same. For example a scroll compressor may be designed for use with multiple HFO refrigerants e.g. R1234ze (E), R32等. If the specific grade(s) is approved for use with one HFO refrigerant it is possible that the same working characteristics will give similar performance in another HFO refrigerant type. Therefore this makes the lubricant more singular in choice across a wider refrigerant platform.
What are the main differences between RFL-EP HP and the PE-X HP?
The main differences with these lubricant ranges is chemistry type - the lubricant base fluid is designed specifically according to the operational conditions required, and one is a Double End Capped PAG and the other is a novel Polyether. A further primary factor which differentiates the two lubricants for their specific refrigerant applications is the additive pack technology. Both have uniquely designed additive packages to enable optimum use and performance with both refrigerants.
Polyether (PE-X HP) 润滑剂 are specifically designed to meet the challenges associated with next generation refrigerants regarding miscibility, 溶解度和工作粘度.
PE-X HP 润滑剂 have been formulated to provide stability when used with HFO based refrigerants, which can be less stable than the HFC refrigerants they are replacing.
The PE-X HP lubricant chemistry and formulations have been found to have acceptable stability and material compatibility when used at current HFC operating baseline parameters and with current materials of construction, and have found to also work well with the existing HFC refrigerants.
The table below demonstrates this at a couple of common operating conditions and shows how this lubricant chemistry indicates an advantage in R1234ze (E) which normally has too much solubility with POE lubricants to provide adequate working viscosity. This demonstrates how one grade of PE-X HP can be used across multiple refrigerant platforms and still give acceptable performance.
